Berries are best known for their antioxidant content. When free radicals start a chain reaction in our bodies, antioxidants protect us. They keep your body from going to war basically. So that's really great. This keeps your skin healthy, your defense mechanisms stronger, and your cells happier.
Berries are packed with vitamin C to keep your immunities strong as well. Eating a few extra berries everyday can be the difference between catching the cold during finals season and powering through.
Not to mention the fiber content!! um hello!! Berries may be packed with sugar, but they're also packed with fiber. The fiber makes the sugar harder to get to so your body processes it differently. Your blood sugar doesn't spike as rapidly because you have to get through the fiber before you get to the sugar. This allows for a slower release of energy and happy mind :P
Eat berries whenever you please. If you eat too many, just drink some extra water to help digest all that fiber.
