Pitaya, also known as dragon fruit, is a wonderful thing. While pitaya itself doesn't have a ton of flavor,  it absorbs flavor super well. And it's BEAUTIFUL. If you're a pink person, you've made a friend. But you should eat pitaya for reasons beyond its beauty. It will make you beautiful too!!!

Pitaya is packed with nutrients. Like most fruits, it has a ton of vitamin C (one of the highest!) and flavonoids to fight the common cold. Its antioxidant content will get rid of those rude free radical guys to keep you looking younger longer. The phosphorus in pitaya will also help to keep your skin cells healthy. Not only will you look younger, but also last longer. Its micronutrients have been proven to fight cancer. And nobody wants that. So give your body some weapons. 

Long story short, pitaya will make everyone think you're 20 when you're really like 65, keep you pooping, hydrate the heck out of you, and keep your immune system strong (fight the flu season!). Eat pitaya. Eat it all the time. 

I love combing pitaya and mango for a refreshing smoothie or just squeezing a lime and eating it with a spoon. Basically pitaya is the new watermelon.
