RIc O’barry

In the 1960s, Ric O’Barry became one of the first successful dolphins trainers with his hit show “Flipper”. He became very famous for his captive dolphin - ignorant to the psychological effects of depression captivity took on her. Cathy (played Flipper in the film) soon became so depressed that she committed suicide in her trainer’s arms. Only then did Ric O’Barry realize the cruelness in his actions. In order to make up for his wrongs, he has dedicated the rest of his life to saving/freeing every captive dolphin he can. He currently has a program known as the dolphin project. He is currently trying to cease the slaughters of thousands of dolphins in Taiji, Japan. check it out.

Sea Shepard

Whaling sucks. And it really sucks because it’s still happening today. The Sea Shepard is doing something about it. The Sea Shepard is physically stopping boats from killing whales by going out to sea and approaching the source of the problem head on. It’s awesome. Check it out.
