OIL

Which oil to cook with? How much oil is enough?

Oil! A great source of fat. Also a great way to get in essential fatty acids. A lot of times you don't really need oil, but it's a good way to get in extra calories and nutrients. And keep things from sticking! Don't be afraid of oil, but definitely don't over do it :)

If you pick the good guys, they can help rejuvenate your skin and nails. If you pick the bad guys, they can leave you bloated and #uncomfy. So pick the good guys. Like these....

Hemp seed oil

One of the healthiest oils you can pick! Have hemp seed oil ready to go in your kitchen. You can use it for salad dressings or different sauces. Hemp seed oil contains a 3:1 omega 3 : omega 6 ratio. Which is perfect! holla! go hemp seeds!

Coconut oil

From rejuvenating your hair and skin, to fueling your beautiful body, coconut oil does it all. It doesn't have a very strong taste so even people who despise coconut can reap it's benefits. Coconut oil is full of medium-chain triglycerides (MCTs) so it is converted into energy in the liver right after you eat it (instead of being stored as a fat). Personally, it's my favorite oil to use. Super good for active people:)

Coconut oil is great when you're cooking at high temperatures. It has a high burning point. You can heat it up a lot before it starts losing nutritional content. So use this guy if you're frying!! If you heat oils to hot, you can damage them and turn the fatty acids into transfat!! ah!!

Flax seed oil

Contains the highest amount of omega 3 : omega 6 ratio (5:1) which is really cool. The taste is a bit milder. Flax seeds are really good for you so flax seed oil does a good job too.

avocado oil

yas queen. Avocados, the queen of the healthy fat. Reap the benefits of avocados by using it in oil form...avocados

olive oil

olive oil is a healthy oil!! It's easy and good for dressings. It doesn't have a ton of nutritional value (low omega 3s) but it's not a bad thing to put in your body.
