Nut Butter

Nuts for nuts! Nut butter is expensive. Especially the good ones. So make your own and reap the benefits. It's easier than you might think!!!

Nuts have all kinds of benefits. They're full of good fat, omega 3's and vitamin E. With a low glycemic index, they're are great snack that will give you energy for the entire day.

Almond butter

Ingredients:

2 cups of raw almonds 

1/4 cup maple syrup

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 tbsp coconut oil (if needed)

Crazy 

Ingredients: 

3/4 cup almonds

3/4 cup cashews

1/4 cup brazil nuts

1/4 cup hazelnuts 

2 tbsp chia seeds

1/4 cup goji berries

Hazelnut butter

Ingredients:

2 cups of raw hazelnuts

1/4 cup maple syrup (optional)

1/4 cup cacao nibs (optional)

2 tbsp cacao powder

1 tbsp coconut oil (add more or less)

 

Instructions

All of the measurements can be adjusted. Add more oil or maple syrup if it's too sandy, add more powder if it's too liquidy. 

1. preheat oven to 350 degree F

2. put raw nuts on a cookie sheet and bake for 8 minutes

3. move nuts directly from oven to a high powered belnder or food processor 

4. Start the blender slow and gradually increase speed, stirring when necessary

5. Add all other ingredients after about 6 minutes

6. blend for 10-20 minutes

7. MUNCH IT UP
